As we grow and evolve, forming new friendships can feel harder than ever. Life shifts, old connections fade, and though we may hold on to childhood BFFs out of habit or history, sometimes we’ve simply outgrown each other. Even in this hyper-connected digital age, many of us still crave something deeper—genuine, positive, drama-free friendships with women who truly get us.
That’s why this group was created—to help Black women in the DMV area connect with other ambitious, high-vibe, like-minded sistahs who are looking for real sisterhood. Not surface-level interactions, but true, nourishing, supportive relationships.

Our Mission
To create a safe, supportive, and inspiring space for Black women to build genuine friendships, foster meaningful connections, and experience true sisterhood in adulthood.
Why We Exist
Let’s be honest—making new friends as an adult isn’t easy. Life gets busy, priorities shift, and those deep, ride-or-die friendships we crave can feel few and far between.
Many of us are holding onto relationships that no longer reflect who we are or who we’re becoming.
Even in a large, fast-paced city like the DMV, it’s still tough to meet other positive, drama-free, like-minded Black women who truly get you.
That’s why the Sistah Friends Connect was created.
This group was born out of a desire to bring together ambitious, high-vibe Black women who are looking for more than just casual social connections. We’re creating a space where women can meet, be seen, feel safe to show up as their full selves, and build the kind of friendships that feel real, reciprocal, and rooted in positivity, love and growth.
What We Do
Through curated meetups, events and real talk conversations we help Black women:

- Find and nurture authentic, lasting friendships
- Learn how to be intentional in how they show up in relationships
- Enjoy fun, joyful and aligned moments that lead to lifelong bonds
